Scott-Vincent Borba Mini Biography

Scott-Vincent Borba was born and raised in the small farming town of Visalia, California. The youngest of five siblings, Scott-Vincent was extremely close to his two extraordinary parents. His mother, Evelyn Ann Borba, is the most loving and supportive woman Scott has in his life. His late father, Anthony Robert Borba, owned a transformer repair shop in their hometown, and was a powerful mentor for Scott-Vincent. His parents taught him to think outside of the box and to not be afraid to escape the constraints of the small town in order to create something bigger and more significant in his life. With a long list of accomplishments under his belt, Scott-Vincent has always followed his dreams and never lost sight of his goals. Even when faced with adverse negativity, Scott-Vincent continues to strive for greatness.

After Scott-Vincent completed high school and junior college in his hometown, he attended the University of Santa Clara, where he majored in psychology. While in college, Scott-Vincent worked as a Ford model and participated in major fashion runway shows, including Calvin Klein and Versace. After earning his B.S. degree, Scott-Vincent knew it was time to move out of his small town, and relocated to Southern California to follow his dreams and develop his acting, singing and dancing skills.

Scott-Vincent’s subsequent move to Los Angeles was an enlightening experience for him, where he found his passion for beauty and science, and decided to pursue a career in the beauty industry. While living in Los Angeles, Scott-Vincent became a licensed Esthetician and nutraceutical specialist and built career successes in both prestige and mass-market sectors in product development, branding and marketing for companies such as Hard Candy, Neutrogena, P&G/Wella/Sebastian, Shiseido/Joico and Murad.

After gaining a substantial amount of experience working with such big companies, Scott-Vincent decided to start his own beauty lines. He launched the hugely popular indie brand e.l.f. Cosmetics (eyeslipsface.com), and BORBA, both which revolutionized the beauty industry.

He made the decision to start BORBA after facing an exhausting search to find skin care that would work for his sensitive, blemish prone skin. He found topical products that worked, but once he stopped using them, his skin problems returned, sometimes worse than before. He realized that the body needs to be treated internally before lasting results can show up externally. This is how BORBA’s Inside/Out philosophy was born. Rather than treating skin problems only on the surface, as with other traditional skin care programs, BORBA formulates delicious, convenient, and highly nutritious ingestible products that target the inner causes of skin complaints while feeding the skin with the same or similar ingredients as the topical products, which is the magical technique to allow the inner & outer layers of the skin to communicate.

As the founder and CEO of BORBA, Scott-Vincent has earned a reputation as a prescient thinker and beauty business visionary. His skin care philosophy and high performance products have changed the way people think about skin care entirely. Scott-Vincent is a man that people love and trust with their skin. He has built an incredible celebrity clientele and a significant online fan base. BORBA Topicals & Beautyceutical supplements have been prominently featured in the pages of the nation’s most respected beauty, culinary, travel & entertainment magazines, business periodicals such as W, Time, Vogue, People, etc, and newspapers such as The Wallstreet Journal, LA Times, etc. BORBA has also been featured on CNN, ABC, Extra and Good Morning America, just to name a few. Today, Scott-Vincent’s career continues to thrive. Hailed “ a genius” by Time Magazine, and “The Next iPod” by Brand Week, successful author of the top-selling Skintervention, Scott-Vincent is also a dancer, recording artist, and actor. Given his long-term relationship with the media, Scott-Vincent is a natural TV personality. With Scott-Vincent’s dedication to perfection and “can-do” attitude, there is nothing that he can’t accomplish.

Given all of his success, Scott-Vincent remains a humble and generous individual. He is an active supporter and global spokesperson of Covenant House California, a non-profit organization providing food, shelter, life-skills counseling and education for youth in need.

[US Weekly, 9/18/07] “What I particularly love about beauty is that it sits right in the middle between science and fashion, drawing inspiration and content from both.
